Got Icicles? Cambridge Rotary Club "Longest Icicle Contest" Comes To Winterfest
Cambridge Area Rotary proudly introduces the latest addition to the Jeffersonvile Winterfest - The Longest Icicle Contest.
Start watching those icicles now, and bring the longest one you’ve got to Cambridge Elementary School on January 28, anytime between 2 and 6 pm. If you are worried about a thaw, harvest the icicle early and put it in your freezer—depending on the weather, the winner might be six inches long, or it could be six feet. Entries will be judged on the length of the intact icicle. The winner will be the person with the longest unbroken icicle. There is no entry fee. The winner of the Household category will receive a trophy, as well as a Home Performance with Energy Star Audit generously donated by Efficiency Vermont.

CES Third Graders Receive Dictionaries
from the Cambridge Rotary Club

CES would once again like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Kathy Johnson and her fellow Cambridge Rotarians for providing each third grade student with their own personal dictionary that now belongs to them forever! Students are encouraged to use their dictionaries both at home and at school. These learning tools are so useful for our students as we work hard to expand our student’s vocabulary and strengthen their overall reading and writing skills. Pictured here are third grade students in Mrs. Cota and Mrs. Longley’s classes along with Kathy Johnson of the Cambridge Rotary Club shortly after receiving the dictionaries this fall. CES is extremely grateful for all the support that the Cambridge Rotary group extends to our students and school.
